Buying and planting service

To many this is the fun part of the process of creating a new garden. However if this seems a daunting and time consuming prospect then I offer this as a service.

While I take care within the planting plan to ensure that the plants, (apart from specialist plants) on the shopping list are widely available in local garden centres, invariably a few plants on the list have to be substituted for like plants at the time of purchase. This must be done without jeopardising the plans overall balance and "look".

Depending upon the size of the garden I can plant it up for you, or if the plot is very large, oversee the planting up process on your behalf.

Prior to planting I will have assessed the health and nature of the soil and any necessary action can have been taken. I am a great believer in enriching the structure of the garden soil. Well rotted manure is wonderful stuff! After planting I always recommend laying down a mulch, usually of bark chippings, but other materials can be used to complement the style of your garden.
